OLLENBURGS

Contains historical copper mine workings; targeting Au/Cu porphyry

  • Targeting silica undersaturated alkalic Au/Cu porphyry system
  • Several small historical mines produced Cu/Au/Ag within large diorite intrusion
  • Stream sediment, rock chip and costean sampling show 300 x up to 50m Au/Cu geochemical anomaly
  • Publicly available 100K map shows one diorite intrusion; multiple intrusive phases of monzonite, feldspar porphyry and diorite have been previously mapped
  • Geochemical anomalies open to northwest and are coincident with the aeromagnetic high that also appears to coincide with the outcropping Elgin Vale Diorite
  • Soil BLEG sampling defined a low-level coincident gold (20ppb) and copper (5ppm) anomaly which remains open to the northwest
  • Untested by ground magnetics or drilling

Previous mapping identified complex series of smaller intrusions which can be symptomatic of porphyry-style mineralisation
A copper-gold soil anomaly, a discrete magnetic anomaly, a monzonite host and observed potassic alteration also suggest potential for porphyry system
